Central Government Schemes for Students

We have the latest list of government programs from PM Modi’s team in 2023 that are designed to help students with their education in India. These programs come from both AICTE and MHRD and are divided into categories based on the level of education – elementary, secondary, and higher education.

To get the benefits of these programs, students can apply online and fill out the necessary forms. The main goal is to make sure that all students get a good education and have the opportunity to find good jobs, which will ultimately make our nation stronger.

List of Government Schemes for Students Education in India by AICTE

PG Scholarship Scheme

The PG Scholarship Scheme is awarded to full-time GATE/GPAT qualified students. All qualified students admitted to M.E./M. Tech/ M. Arch and M.Pharma courses in AICTE-approved Institutions and Colleges are eligible. Beneficiaries of the PG Scholarship Scheme receive Rs. 12,400 per month per student.

National Doctoral Fellowship (NDF)

The NDF Scheme admits full-time meritorious research scholars by providing research fellowships. It’s for those seeking admission to Ph.D. in AICTE-approved Technical Institutes/University Departments for research in thrust areas. Candidates can apply online for the National Doctoral Fellowship Scheme to avail its benefits.

Pragati Scholarship Scheme

The Pragati Scholarship is awarded to meritorious girls joining AICTE-approved Technical institutions for Degree/Diploma. A total of 4000 scholarships are given, with Rs. 30,000 for tuition fee reimbursement and Rs. 20,000 for incidental expenses each year. Students can apply online for the Pragati Scheme to avail its benefits.

Saksham Scholarship Scheme

The Saksham Scholarship is awarded to differently-abled students joining AICTE-approved Technical institutions for Degree/Diploma. A total of 1000 scholarships are given, providing Rs. 30,000 for tuition fee reimbursement and Rs. 20,000 for incidental expenses each year. Students can apply online for the Saksham Scheme to avail its benefits.

Prerana Scheme for Preparing SC / ST Students for Higher Education

The Prerana Scheme aims to provide financial support to institutes encouraging and training SC/ST students for admission tests like GATE/GPAT/CAT/CMAT and GRE. It helps aspiring SC/ST students seeking higher education through admission tests. Students can apply online for the Prerana Scheme to avail its benefits.

Samriddhi Scheme for SC / ST Students to Setup Startups

The Samriddhi Scheme supports SC/ST students in designing, launching, and running their own business/startup through entrepreneurship development programs. It’s aligned with AICTE’s startup policy. Students can apply online for the Samriddhi Scheme to avail its benefits.

Support to Students for Participating in Competition Abroad (SSPCA)

The SSPCA Scheme provides travel assistance and registration fees to teams of 2 to 10 students attending international competitions. It encourages engineering students to enhance their technical education. Students can apply online for the SSPCA Scheme to avail its benefits.

Prime Minister’s Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS)

The PM Scholarship Scheme aims to build capacities in J&K youth, empowering them to compete and enhancing employment potential. Total 5000 scholarships are given annually. Maintenance charges range from Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 300,000 based on the degree.

AICTE INAE Grant Scheme

The AICTE-INAE Travel Grant Scheme supports engineering students to present papers abroad, enhancing the quality of engineering education. Students can apply online or download a PDF application form to avail its benefits.

Smart India Hackathon

Smart India Hackathon identifies digital solutions for challenges faced by the country. The event involves technology students and various government ministries. The competition aims to find innovative solutions in a 36-hour non-stop event.

M.Tech Projects as Internship with MSMEs

The scheme nurtures an innovation ecosystem benefiting technologically deficient MSMEs and technical institutes. The initiative involves 408 SMEs with requirements for 738 technology students.
